Party Flyer 2 - Another flyer designed as an invitation to a party, this time a Halloween party. Since it was for a Halloween/Costume party I thought it was kind of appropriate to use Mike Mignola’s Hellboy as the theme. I actually went through all of the Hellboy trades, found pictures of Hellboy I wanted to incorporate into the flyer, then scanned them, printed them larger and traced them using a light table. Then I rescanned the traced versions of the pictures, touched them up and colored them in Photoshop and put the whole invite together. Not sure why I went to so much trouble, guess I didn’t want to feel like I was just stealing the art directly from the comic. Coloring the stuff was my favorite part, besides trying to work the title of every Hellboy story I could into the text of the flyer.
