Batgirl
#67
“Destruction’s Daughter – Part Two”
Writer: Andersen Gabrych
Pencils: Ale Garza
Inker: Jesse Delperdang
Plot: Cassandra, AKA Batgirl, is searching for her
arch-nemesis Shiva and has to turn to the Birds of Prey for
assistance-- forcing her to confront her estranged friend,
Oracle.
Comments: There’s not alot of action in this issue, but
Andersen Gabrych does a superb job of interweaving some
intriguing subplots that make up for any lack of the typical
spandex-laden fisticuffs. The pencils by Ale Garza are fresh
and stylish, and well-complimented by Jesse Delperdang’s
inks. Overall, I definitely got sucked back into Cassandra’s
plight as the heir-apparent to the Bat-Mantel and the drama
of her tormented life.
