Bullet
Points #1 (of 5)
Written by: J. Michael Straczynski
Illustrated by: Tommy Lee Edwards
Lettered by: John Workman
Plot: Bullet Points plays off of the idea that a
single bullet changes history. Whether it be the
assassination of a significant figure, or a failed attempt.
In this “what if” scenario, the scientist who gives Steve
Rogers his superhuman serum is killed by an assassin’s
bullet and Peter Parker’s uncle Ben does not survive his
tour in World War II.
Review: J. Michael Straczynski’s take on how two of
Marvel’s favorite superheroes lives hinge on a single moment
is compelling and is a fun departure from the same old
monthly hero comic. While this issue is not exactly
groundbreaking stuff, meant to change the world or anything,
it is always good to see a well-written, well-drawn,
mainstream superhero comic with a twist. Check it out and I
am sure you will want to read the rest of this 5 issue
series.
Special thanks go out to Jeremy Shorr, owner of Titan Comics for allowing us to use his advance preview books for review purposes.
