Daredevil
#83
Writer: Ed Brubaker
Colorist: Frank D’Armata
Letterer: VC’s Cory Petit
Plot: Fuzzy Nelson is dead, shanked by someone while
visiting Matt Murdock, and as he is now known to the rest of
the world; Daredevil, at Ryker’s island. While in prison,
Matt Murdock is stewing about how to find Franklin’s killer,
when he is approached with an offer that may help him to
resolve all of his anger.
Review: Marvel is really pulling out all the stops on
Daredevil. While some of their comic lines make me groan
whenever I see them on the shelves, Marvel is bringing in
top notch writers that are really turning the mythology on
its head. Ed Brubaker’s run on this comic is certainly
making this the book to read for anyone that is a fan of the
comic, or even the casual reader. It is always great to see
a comic get a jolt to wake up its characters, and killing
off a lovable character and throwing the hero in jail will
definitely do that.
