Godland
#11
Writer: Joe Casey
Artist: Tom Scioli
Colorist: Nick Filardi
Plot: While fighting Friedrich Nickelhead, Adam Archer gets
trapped inside one of his biological experiments. Meanwhile,
his sister Angie is trapped inside an alien ship where she
meets King Janus and his henchman, “the never”.
Review: A serious superhero comic book that realizes it is a
superhero comic book. Quirky one-liners and crazy out of
control villains make this book a fun read. Godland is a
parody of comic books that wants to be serious, about as
serious as the next pun or crazy situation will allow it. If
you are looking for something a little serious, with tongue
in cheek humor and a quick read, you need to pick this up.
Kind of a Superman comic where Clark Kent realizes that he
is really just a guy flying around in tight pants but still
has a job to do.
Special thanks go out to Jeremy Shorr, owner of Titan Comics for allowing us to use his advance preview books for review purposes.
