Jack Staff #10
Writer/artist: Paul Grist
Colors: Craig Conlan
Plot:
While plotting to rob a jewelry store, the Claw watches a
man break in and do it for him. When the police arrive and a
hostage crisis occurs, he has to think quickly to escape and
end the standoff.
Review: This comic is a one joke punch line that
isn’t particularly original or funny, and seems to be only
put together to advertise other Image comics. The art is
pretty horrible and the inking borders on the unreadable. I
can’t draw or ink but I think with a decent ball point pen I
could probably match the skills put together in this book.
It seems like it would have been cheaper and a lot more
honest to release a book of advertisements.
Special thanks go out to Jeremy Shorr, owner of
Titan Comics for allowing us to use his advance
preview books for review purposes.
