Mister
Miracle #1 (of 4)
Writer: Grant Morrison
Artist: Pasqual Ferry
Plot: Mister Miracle attempts to wow the world and
prove some of the greatest scientists in the world wrong by
escaping the gravity of a black hole. While in the black
hole, Mister Miracle is introduced to Metron, a watcher, who
tells him of a separate reality, one where the battle in
heaven is won by the Dark Side. On Mister Miracle’s return
to earth, he begins to question which reality he came back
to.
Review: It is always interesting to watch a hero that
appears better than the mere mortals around him question his
abilities. It is in most cases what attracts us to some of
these characters. Grant Morrison really gets inside Mister
Miracle’s head and the reality that unfolds promises to make
his life pretty interesting for the next three issues. Even
if you don’t read Mister Miracle I suggest you pick it up.
It definitely seems to be on a one-way crash course to
screwing up his life.
Special thanks go out to Jeremy Shorr, owner of
Titan Comics for allowing us to use his advance
preview books for review purposes.
