Nick
Fury’s
Howling Commandos #1
Writer: Keith Giffen
Penciller: Eduardo Francisco
Inkers: Kris Justice and Terri Pallot
Colorist: Sotocolor’s J. Tai

joke around and kill everyone in sight.
Review: This new series of characters in the S.H.I.E.L.D.
team are basically comic relief with the propensity to eat
and destroy anything they can. This comic is basically just
a gimmick that does not take itself seriously and doesn’t
really seem to have any point other than to create as much
destruction as possible with the occasional one liner to
break up the explosions and frenzied action. That said,
there is really nothing wrong with that at all and is a
quick, fun little read with no weighty issues tied to it,
trying to make it more important than it really is. As long
as you read it with no expectations and are just looking to
jump into a bloody mess with a few laughs, you will totally
enjoy this absolutely worthless piece of mindless fun. I
certainly did.
