Plot: A young butcher trying to earn enough to give
the woman he loves a proper wedding, moonlights in a hunting
party with a local chief and ends up avenging the death of
the chief’s son. He married the woman and while on honeymoon
the village they were in was ransacked. His wife was
murdered and he was made a slave.
Review: I liked this issue but it really seems like
they crammed way too much story into one issue. The story
would have been more enjoyable if the writer would have just
taken his time and laid out the story at a nice even pace.
There were plenty of places that would have made a nice
cliffhanger to pick up the next issue. I could actually see
enjoying this book if it would just slow down and give me
the chance to do so. The art was decent but the story seemed
to fly by so fast it was hard to relax and enjoy anything
about this comic.
Special thanks go out to Jeremy Shorr, owner of
Titan Comics for allowing us to use his advance
preview books for review purposes.
