The
Warlord #2
Writer: Bruce Jones
Colorist: Bart Sears
Letterer: Pat Brosseau
Colorist: Mike Atiyeh
Plot: A man trapped in a strange alternate dimension with no
memory of who he was or where he came from, meets a
beautiful princess and accidentally picks a fight with a
warrior prince. During the fight he begins to learn about
himself and the reason he may be in this strange land.
Meanwhile, on current Earth, his friends are searching for
him and get into serious trouble.
Review: First of all, the layout of this comic book is a
little annoying. The first ten pages are exposition and
there is absolutely too much written explanation for my
taste, especially exposition that didn’t really lend any
more information to the storyline. The artwork jumps from
pretty good, to something that seems to be drawn with a
Sharpie. It seems to me that the editors should have mapped
out the style and direction of this comic before putting it
together, this one issue is too erratic and with no real
style. I really cannot recommend this title.
Special thanks go out to Jeremy Shorr, owner of
Titan Comics for allowing us to use his advance
preview books for review purposes.
