Wolverine
#33
Writer: Daniel Way
Artists: Mark Texeira and
Javier Saltares
Colorist: Paul Mounts
Letterer: VC’s Joe Carmanga
In the first part of this three issue tie-in to the House
of M crossover Mystique is asked by S.H.I.E.L.D.
Director Sebastian Shaw to recount the events leading up to
Wolverine’s sudden and surprising departure from the
organization.
Daniel Way takes over as the new regular writer for
Wolverine and it looks like he has a pretty good handle on
the character. Even though this is a tie-in to House of M
and therefore the story takes place in an alternate timeline
it’s obvious that Way knows the character. Texeira’s artwork
is pretty good in this issue even if it’s not his best work
ever. If you’re reading House of M and want to get some
background on the Wolverine of this alternate universe then
this book is definitely for you. If you’re looking for a
straight up Wolverine story you might want to wait a few
issues for things to return to normal.
