X-Men
– Colossus: Bloodline
#1 (of 5)
Writer: David Hine
Artist: Jorge Lucas
Colorist: Tom Chu
Letterer: Dave Sharpe
Plot: Colossus is working on dealing with the
aftermath of his imprisonment, while someone in his native
country is killing off the descendants of an old leader of
the Russian Revolution.
Review: If you can get past the melodrama of Colossus
dealing with the other members of the X-Men then you might
actually get to a pretty good story. Unfortunately, most of
the story takes place at the X-Men mansion and comes across
as a minor soap opera and the main story, the murder of the
descendants of Rasputin, seems thrown in only because this
happens to be a superhero comic. The story arc sounds really
good and may actually go somewhere interesting, if only he
stays away from that mansion.
