Borat!
Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit
Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (2006)
Sacha Baron Cohen
Kenneth Davitian
Directed by Larry Charles
Plot: Borat Sagdiyev, Kazakhstan's sixth most famous man and
a leading journalist from the State run TV network, travels
from his home in Kazakhstan to the U.S. to make a
documentary. On his cross-country road-trip, Borat meets
real people in real situations with hysterical consequences.
Review: I would like to start this review off by saying...HOLY
CRAP!!! This might just be the funniest movie I have ever
seen. I loved the Ali G Show, but didn't really like Ali G
in Da House. When I found out about Borat, I figured it
would just be another bad movie of a funny character. I was
totally wrong. This movie is funny from beginning to end and
never let's up. I firmly believe that Sacha Baron Cohen is a
comical genius unlike anything we have ever seen. No words
can truly capture the brilliance of this film. The only
thing I can truly say is I loved it and can't wait to see it
again. If there is anyone out there who sees this movie and
doesn't think it's funny, then they need to go back the
grave or the convent where they came from. Long live Borat
in the U. S. and A!!!
