Find
Me Guilty (2006)
Vin Diesel
Ron Silver
Peter Dinklage
Annabella Sciorra
Linus Roache
Alex Rocco
Directed by Sidney Lumet
Plot: Sent to prison on a drug charge, Jackie
Dinorsio refuses to turn government witness against his
former associates in the New Jersey Lucchesi crime family.
However, prosecutor Sean Casey mounts a huge case under the
RICO statutes involving dozens of defendants and their
attorneys, including Nick Calabrese. For Casey it looks like
an open and shut case, until Jackie, who is already serving
thirty years, decides to defend himself. Initially dismissed
as a lunatic, Jackie has a forceful personality and an
intrinsic understanding of the legal process that gradually
changes the course of the trial.
Review: I am somewhat disappointed. I saw the trailer
for this film and wanted to go see it. I didn’t know it had
already come and gone. I am not the biggest Vin Diesel fan,
but I thought it would be entertaining to see him with hair.
Needless to say I sat down expecting a goofy film, that I
would only focus on Vin’s hair and the insanity of the
story. I could not have been more wrong.
By no means is this a perfect film, but it is really good.
The story is very interesting and entertaining. Vin actually
gives a great performance, one of his career best. (if
that’s saying much) I am a huge fan of Peter Dinklage and he
delivers once again with a great performance. The thing I
enjoyed most about this film was finding out at the end that
almost all of the court room testimony was taken from the
actual record. Some of the things said in these scenes are
just ridiculous and I could not imagine this occurring,
which makes it even greater. Overall the entire cast gives
great performances and it’s and interesting and entertaining
film.
