Plot: The uplifting story of detention camp probation officer Sean Porter, who creates a high-school-level football team from a ragtag group of dangerous teenage inmates as a means to teach them self-respect and social responsibility. He is joined in this experiment by co-worker, Malcolm Moore. But Porter must first overcome almost universal resistance from the powers that be -- his skeptical bosses and coaches at rival high schools who don't want their players mixing it up with convicted criminals on the football field.

Review: I was never a Rock fan in his wrestling days. I didn’t really like his early attempts at acting. I always liked his presence and the way he carried himself and could see how he could be the next big action star. Overtime, I have really started to enjoy the Rock’s movies and really looked forward to this film.

I thought this movie was great. I loved the story and thought the football scenes were very well done. The acting performances were all top notch, especially the Rock. With normally being the action star, sometimes you don’t notice or need to be that good of an actor. With this film, the Rock shows that he is a good actor and has a lot of potential. The thing that made this film work well, was that all of the characters had a good amount of screen time. The story is about the team and puts that across well. If you enjoy sports films or uplifting underdog stories this movie is for you.
