Plot: When a Montana boy moves to Florida and
unearths a disturbing threat to a local population of
endangered owls, three middle-schoolers take on greedy land
developers, corrupt politicians, and clueless cops.
Determined to protect his new environment, the boy and his
friends fight to prevent the adults from making a big
mistake.
Review: I never heard of this movie or anything about
it. The guy at the video store mentioned it too me, so I
asked my kids about it. To my surprise they saw it with
their grandmother and liked it, so decided to give it a
chance as well.
The movie is a good family film, but nothing really great.
The cast and story are both good, but nothing outstanding. I
enjoyed the movie and was pleasantly surprised, but did have
a minor problem. The films title really throws you. It’s not
that it has nothing to do with it, it does, but I expected
something with owls all the way through. This was not the
case, as a matter of fact the owls are barely in it. It
doesn’t hurt the movie, but I waited and waited to see these
owls and when I did, I was like, “That’s it?” If your
looking for a good family film, this is one that adults and
kids alike will enjoy, but if you’re an owl lover, you need
to watch animal planet.
