Review: I am not usually into musicals, but I am a
fan of Outkast. I really like most of their music and when I
saw the cast to the film I figured it might have a chance at
being decent.
To my surprise this movie is actually pretty good. The
characters and acting are good. The story is pretty basic
and nothing real original, but still works well. The music,
which is the focal point of the movie, is all pretty good.
Although this movie is billed as a musical, most of the
music is put into the film via performances and not random
breaking into song. The only issue I had with this movie was
some of the music choices. Although I liked the music, some
of it was not fitting for the time period that it was set
in. Over all I enjoyed this movie and think people will
enjoy it.
