Plot: Larry is a big city health inspector who is
happy with his usual beat of greasy spoon diners and
low-rent ethnic restaurants. But his easygoing life is
turned upside-down when he's saddled with a straight-arrow
rookie partner and assigned the biggest case of his career:
investigating an outbreak of mysterious food poisonings at
the city's swankiest restaurants. Infuriating restaurateurs
with his bad manners, Larry still manages to charm a sweet,
shy waitress into a budding romance. But when his unorthodox
methods cost him his job, Larry has to go undercover to
bring the conspirators to justice and "Git-R-Done!"
Review: I am a big fan of the Blue Collar stuff, the
tv show and the concerts, and although I though the trailer
looked funny, I didn’t have very high expectations for this
film. My son wanted to see this more than I did, so I
figured why not and gave it a chance.
I assumed this movie would be full of one liners and the
Larry would be struggling through trying to carry his first
film. To my surprise, I found the movie to be really funny.
The film is in fact full of one-liners, but Larry executes
them well. The movie itself is ridiculous, which is what
makes it so great. The characters are all funny or
interesting in their own way and work well together. There
isn’t anything really special about the movie that makes it
stand out, but it is really funny. If you enjoy redneck
humor or lots of potty humor you will love this film.
