Review: I am not a big Pierce Brosnan or Greg Kinnear
fan. I have liked them in various movies, but I do not see a
film because of them. I heard some decent things about this
movie, but didn’t know what it was about, so I went in blind
and gave it a try.
The film has an interesting take on the whole hitman story,
but nothing really engaging. I enjoyed the dialogue between
Brosnan and Kinnear, but that is really where it ended. Let
me point out, this is not a bad movie, just one that didn’t
do much for me. It has some funny moments and some
interesting scenes, but it seemed to be missing something.
Even though I am not a Brosnan fan, I did find him somewhat
charismatic in a sleazy way. It was nice to see him in
something totally different from James Bond. (Which I think
he was great at). Kinnear gives about the same performance
as usual, not bad by any means, but nothing really different
or special. I think this film will have people who love it
and others that will just like it, but I doubt there will be
very many who totally dislike it.
