Plot: Super-spy Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) has retired

back into action to confront the toughest villain he's ever
faced - Owen Davian (Philip Seymour Hoffman), an
international weapons and information provider with no
remorse and no conscience. Hunt assembles his team - his old

Declan (Jonathan Rhys Meyers), background operative Zhen
(Maggie Q), and fresh recruit Lindsey (Keri Russell) - to
travel the globe pursuing Davian and rescue Hunt's love,
Julia (Michelle Monaghan).
Review: I was not a big fan of the first two films. I
felt MI1 had a great story and MI2 had great action. If
there was some way to smash them together they would have
been a great film. I am also not a big Tom Cruise fan, not
because he is insane, just not a fan of his acting as a
whole. With that said, I have been angry because I have
actually liked his last few movies. (Minority Report, Last
Samurai, and War of the Worlds) I like Lost so I wanted to
support J.J. Abrams in his directorial attempt and gave this
movie a chance.
Tom Cruise has hit gold again. MI3 is a great action movie.
Tom Cruise is good in this movie, but I felt the story and
the direction is what made it a better movie. J.J. Abrams
seems to have taken the good from the previous two films and
put them together for this one. The story is also good.
Philip Seymour Hoffman gives another great performance. (As
usual) I was glad to see Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead) in a
blockbuster film. He added the needed comedy relief while
still offering something to the film. Overall I really liked
this movie and highly recommend it.
