Review: I want to start this review off by saying I
am a big horror fan and loved Final Destination. I heard
about this film through various web sites saying how this
was an original and great horror film. Once I found out that
the creator of Final Destination was involved, I thought
this had to be good. Well, I can safely say that there isn’t
very much good about this film.
The violence in this movie is sadly under used and sometime
leads to nothing. There are a couple of cool gore sequences,
but fell short. I am not sure why, but there was numerous
chances to capitalize on some cool death scenes, but that
never really happens. Don’t get me wrong, there are some
good scenes, just not as many as there could have been. The
thing that kills this movie more than anything is the
acting. With the exception for Tamara (Jenna Dewan), every
single performance was just horrible. It was good if the
film was a low budget independent film, but not for a wide
release. Jenna Dewan isn’t that much better, but she has
something that I can see improving and making her an up and
comer. (Of course, that could have just been the horrible
acting around her that made her better.) The film has a nice
poster though!
