Bio.
It’s always hard to write these things. Here I have some space to tell
you about my limited amount of publicly viewable creativity. Of the
Stumblebum crew, I still consider myself the new kid on the block when
it comes to published work, despite having had a weekly (ahem, mostly)
column on this site and having taken part (in a small capacity) in the
first two Stumblebum Studios anthologies.
But here I am, telling you all about myself and what it is that I do
creative-wise. As for the “me” part, I just graduated from the
University of Alabama with a degree in Psychology; I’m not entirely sure
what sort of career I want to get into, but writing is always at the top
of that list.
I’m a huge comic book nerd, which is evident by my column, Down, But Not
Out. It’s kind of a love letter to all the comics I’ve enjoyed over the
years. I’m highly inspired by comic book legend Jack Kirby, hoping one
day to attain the high peak of creativity he exhibited.
Being someone that enjoys writing, I’ve been inspired by many prose
authors: H.P. Lovecraft, Philip K. Dick, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Isaac
Asimov to name just a few.
In my creative endeavors, I’m very much fixed on establishing one
interconnecting fictional world in which to play; the serialized fiction
of Tomorrow’s Light is the root of this world and each and
every subsequent story written will be somehow related (even if it’s a
small, hardly recognizable amount).
I consider Tomorrow’s Light to be my most ambitious
writing project to date. It’s a personal endeavor that I take very
seriously, which is why it was/is never on a real schedule; I want to do
it right and will not release it until I think it is. I’m not entirely
sure when it will be finished completely, but that’s not stopping me
from writing other things.
I have a few short stories on the horizon that will be released in some
form or another. Also, I plan on taking part in every Stumblebum release
that I can, so I consider my plate fairly full at the moment when it
comes to writing.
