Bio.
On a snowy, wintry night in 1976, the skies parted and a military
hospital in North Carolina was blessed with the birth of a baby boy.
That baby boy was named Dana Place. That moment in time is marked
forever in the hospital with a plaque over a urinal located in the 3rd
floor employee lavatory. Growing up in such remote and exotic locations
as Freeport, Texas, Moreno Valley, California and Texas City, Texas,
Dana was struck with wanderlust and after traveling more than a few
highways, he found himself settling in the small town of Irving, Texas
where he currently resides in a homey little townhouse with his 3 year
old German Shepherd, Sara.
As a child, Dana dreamed of one day becoming an astronaut and traveling
the universe in a spaceship. Unfortunately, he was sidetracked by the
marketing genius behind “The Transformers” and the invention of the
Atari 2600. Dana spent most of his time watching television and
mastering the video game Asteroids. Not willing to waste years of video
game and film training, as an adult, Dana worked and lived at his local
video store, finally falling into a job with a Dallas Mortgage company.
Dana currently co-owns, does the administrative work, and writes for
Stumblebum Studios. He can be seen doing movie reviews for
