Bio.
Much like a certain alien child from Krypton Mr. Warthen was adopted
by a loving couple in Middle America and was raised on a healthy diet of
firm morals, pork chops, GI Joe action figures, fried chicken, and
mutant super heroics. Spending way longer then he should have in art
school he went out into the world to make a name for himself and quickly
realized starving for his art left him skinny and hungry. Relocating
south to the Big D he found a cushy corporate gig where he cracks the
whip in the salt mines even today.
Armed with a bi weekly pay check Mr. Warthen was able to pursue his love
of art and comics without needing to live in a cardboard box or eat
Ramen noodles three times a day. He currently is the President of The
Hero Foundry a charity dedicated to inspiring the youth of today to
become the heroes of tomorrow by providing comics, graphic novels, and
trade paperback to libraries, schools, and hospitals that cannot afford
them. Mr. Warthen also does fine art in the form of pencils, inks, oils,
and watercolors and has inked a few comic book short stories with more
to come.
