Garbage "Bleed Like Me"
I
have always been kind of a fan of Garbage, although I must
admit most of my interest was in the hot little red headed
lead singer Shirley Manson. Man, gotta love the red heads…
Anyways, I picked up Bleed Like Me after hearing their
latest single “Why do you love me” on the radio. It is a
catchy tune, but in the song, you can catch a little of the
underlying pop angst in most of the rest of the album. The
ballads on the album are soft spoken and seem very
heartfelt, a nice piece of maturity from a band that has
hard time distinguishing themselves from every other female
led pop band on the radio. Most of the other songs on the
album are perfect for bobbing your head in the car, with a
nice amount of guitar riff and a soft, sexy voice to
compliment them. There is nothing really memorable about
this album, and nothing really to make it more noteworthy
than the thousand or so albums that are going to come out
this year, but that really doesn’t matter. Bleed like me is
fun. It is good for the head and catchy, and not in a
Brittany Spears sort of way. All in all, it is a good piece
of Garbage, and don’t we need a nice piece of Garbage to
throw in the CD player to bob our head and sing along to on
the way to work?
