The Click Five
Greetings From Imrie House
The Click Five are just one more in a long line of pop punk
bands to get a catchy single on the radio, and that single
was just catchy enough to make me want to throw down some of
my own hard earned bucks for their CD. Although after
listening through all eleven tracks I was left a little
disappointed. Not disappointed enough to wish I had bought
something else but enough so that I wish I had spent a few
bucks less.
The band has five members (as you might get from their
name), consisting of lead and rhythm guitars, bass, drums,
and keyboards. One thing this band does have going for it is
that everyone sings. Other than Eric Dill on lead vocals and
rhythm guitar everyone else does backing vocals and they all
sound awesome, harmonizing at just the right moments in each
song. As for the rest of their sound they pretty much can be
taken for your standard pop punk band with much better
vocals.
So I would say if bands like The All American Rejects and other similar
bands take up the most room on you CD tower then pick it up.
If not, then a few years from now pick it out of the bargain
bin at Best Buy for a few bucks. The Click Five do have
potential and can go somewhere if they can do something to
make themselves stand out, but, on the other hand they also
have the potential to be this year’s one-hit-wonder and then
fade into the background for all time.
